Duration: 4 sessions, 90 minutes
Wrap yourself in handmade elegance with this stunning lacy crochet sweater, constructed from floral-inspired granny squares. In this advanced beginner-level workshop, you’ll learn how to make and join each detailed motif to create a light, airy, and stylish layering piece perfect for transitional weather.
You should have basic crochet skills, including slip knot, Chain, Single crochet, and double crochet.
The workshop will take place over four parts. In the first part you will learn how to read the pattern and get started. In the second part, you'll check your gauge and determine how many squares you need to make for your size. In the third part, you'll learn and start seaming together, and in the 4th part, you will learn the edging step.
We'll cover:
- Reading and following a granny square pattern
- Learning trc, invisible finish, extended trc
- Joining motifs
- Shaping and assembling the sweater
- How to trim the sweater with the picot stitch
Yarn must be purchased at Weave & Wander Yarn Shop at least one week prior to the class so we have time to wind your yarn.

Materials Needed:
Pattern: Provided
Hook: Typically G or H Hook dependent on Yarn Selection
Recommended Yarn: Cascade Ultra Pima, Cascade Superwash 220 Sport, Malabrigo Rios or any size 3 - 4 weight yarn.
You will need between 900 and 1800 yards depending on the size you plan to make.
